Dont have to queue ever again. (Devs needed to build the mvp).

Its simple guys. You know the problem with queues. What if we take the process of queueing online in realtime, what i mean is. Instead of having to go to your place of interest and waiting in line for few minutes. What if you can queue remotely through an app that already has the queue registered online. Its simple, the business or gov office that has a queue problem can create a line on our app. Customers or waiters can search for the line add their purpose and be assigned a number and it will automatically tell them by what time they have to reach there.

I thought about this very solution at the beginning of pandemic after witnessing queues for supermarket. It could be as simple as you've described it - you queue online and then when you're next soon you're getting a notification. You then go to the place (wait for a little if necessary) and when there's your turn you show the code to prove you were indeed in the queue. The code gets scanned and that's how the system knows that the queue is moving. Of course there will be people not using the queueing system so they let 2 people from virtual queue and one person from a physical one alternating to promote using a virtual one.
Should be a relatively simple software to write.

This sounds like a chicken-egg problem (network business).

To the attract developers, you would have validated this network business. i.e. You have signed up LOTs (100? 200?) business that are willing to try it out and have a mechanism to get users to install this app.

Maybe if you can provide more details about that?

How is this a chicken egg problem. Do you really need to validate if people prefer queueing remotely and save time or come to the location and stand without having the freedom to move around. And ofcourse businesses would benefit if they make theyre queueing easier. As for the LOT(im guessing you mean a deal but they never work out) when youre starting out you need to build the solution first and approach them with the product, that shows commitment. Im looking for a cofounder that believes in the idea and is willing to help get it out. Not just a developer.

How is this a chicken egg problem.

This looks (to me) to be network business because the business has to use your app to create a queue. People have to use your app to register themselves on the queue. Two sides, both have to exist in sufficient numbers to get going.

The business (most likely) won't use your app unless you have sufficient number of users signed up. Users (most likely) won't use your app unless there is sufficient number of businesses that they frequent have signed up.

Although I am not interested, things I would look for in a non-tech founder:

        • Validate the willingness of businesses to signup with you and your ability to sign them up.
        • Validate that user acquisition channels/strategies are effective. I would access your ability here as well.

when youre starting out you need to build the solution first and
approach them with the product, that shows commitment.

I certainly hope that strategy works for you. There's been a general agreement that the 'Lean Startup' and 'Lean Canvas' are one of the best strategies for startups. What I said above is one of the core ideas from that. Write down your assumptions and validate that they are true.

        In any case good luck.

1 ) I always believed the best companies and products come from the founders who have faced a problem and haven't found a good enough solution to it so decided to come up with one. Do you think the founders of Uber went on and signed a LOT with 100 or 200 taxi drivers before getting a developer to develop the app or did Airbnb face a 'network business issue' where they had to get enough people to say they will book the bed? No, they just went ahead and built it because they believed in their vision. When you're innovating, a very handful of people will accept or believe in your solution even if it does solve the problem effectively.
          2) Yeah the lean startup strategy or whatever methodology will always teach you to do things a certain way, keep in mind that these methodologies are written by people just like you and me, and they are meant to be a guiding principle. They don't have to be the only way you do things and there is no one best methodology. But specific to your answer I am pretty sure lean startup meant to gather feedback for your product and figure out the wants of the consumer (which is common sense really). However, I am pretty sure it didn't say you have to sign a LOT or LOI with companies before even building a product. It makes more sense to build the product, test it out and change it according to market needs.
          3) You as a tech cofounder want to validate if I am a fit partner is completely fair and you should be doing that, and I always will love to answer a potential tech cofounders questions or concerns about me being their non-tech partner.
Don't know what you were referring to as assumptions but its more common sense that you would know a person would prefer to not stand in a queue. And it's better to approach a business with a product that does something than pitch an idea and get them to sign a deal with you (which is extremely hard when you're a startup or company of this size).
But thank you so much for your feedback, I truly appreciate it and wish you the best of luck.
