Ended up #1 Product of the day on ProductHunt

Hey guys,

Yesterday I've posted my side project to ProductHunt after a long time.

It's basically a simple one-page web app created in VueJs that generates 3 color palettes.

I was surprised it ended as a Product of the day. 🎉🙌

I've started to build my audience on Twitter in January and I'm currently close to 6.000 followers. So it's going really well and I'm happy with the result. The best part is that I found a lot of friends who like it if you build in public and share your journey. And that's the key here.

I'm super excited and motivated to complete my other projects/side projects. 🥳

Here it is: http://mobilepalette.colorion.co/ 🔥

Congrats! How long did was your product "out there" before you launched?

    1. 2

I announced it the same day

Congratulations! I feel building in public can surely turn some eyeballs.

      Yeah, definitely!

Hi, I am trying to promote my product as well, which is a Notion template that I am selling on Gumroad (https://gumroad.com/l/xknhu). Do you have any tips on how I can make it the product of the day on PH just like your product? Thank you

    By the way:
This Notion Template enables you to jot down your notes, schedule your month, track your expenses and finances, journal your daily thoughts, plan out projects, document your progress in hobbies and activities, plan out your travels, create a shopping list, store your files (instead of storing them in your device's internal storage!), and much more.

I have earned about 14 sales so far and am looking to boost sales from here... Just need some help in doing that..

It's all about your audience. I'm started to build my audience and friends on Twitter in January.
This is what I suggest to everyone and be an active part of as many communities as possible.
It's hard work but pays off.

If you're selling on Gumroad, you need to write a lot more content. I'd suggest using Wordblot to have AI help you write compelling copy.

Congratulations! I just gave you an upvote as well.

Any insight into how you made it to #1 on PH? Did you generate any pre-launch lists, or did you choose any specific categories? or was it more just you threw it up, told your twitter list and you were good?

I'm pretty active on PH and have a lot of friends on Twitter who are pretty active on PH too. So it just went that well.

Congratulations man! Did you use a hunter for this or did it yourself?

    1. 2

Thanks! Myself. I have quite a good score there.

      1. 1

Are you open to hunting products for others?

        1. 1

I usually do not hunt others.
Hunted only once. It was a friend of mine with a product related to my niche.

      2. 1

oh sweet! I just sent you a dm on Twitter for some help to hunt our pod :)

    Thats amazing!! Congrats 😊
