Excellent (Free) Keyword Research Tool for CPC & SEO

I just discovered this Chrome Extension that gives you keywords based on Google Autocomplete.

The extension is called "SeoStack Keyword Tool" — grab it here:

Google Autocomplete is the predictive type-ahead feature where Google suggests (predicts) words as you type. Here's how that works: https://blog.google/products/search/how-google-autocomplete-works-search/

The SEOStack extension is super convenient. It launches their interface where you type in your seed keyword & a few other parameters. You can get keywords from Google, Youtube, Bing, Yahoo, Amazon, Ebay, and DuckDuckGo.

You can also export as .csv, plus launch your search into Google AdPlanner to get historic volume data and CPC prices. Pretty cool.

Plus it's free. Reply to this thread if you had a good experience with it!

SEO Stack actually solves a very crucial problem- to see 'everything' that's on google's database regarding any topic.

Comparing to Ahrefs, SEMRush, KW Everywhere, Surfer SEO, and answerthepublic, this produces a surprisingly bigger chunks of keywords. If you add topical clustering and competition analysis with it, getting a handful of blogpost ideas becomes a cake.

How exactly are you doing topic clustering & competition analysis? Any URL that explains your process once you have done keyword discovery w/ SEO Stack, for example? .. or if you want to do a quick breakdown here. thanks!

        Well, for topic clustering,

        1. We start by piling up the topics that need to be covered for a certain business. What the top competitors have done in their blogs is the main source of information here.
        2. Then we reverse competitors' sitemaps and try to group the content topics up as per the topic map created in Step 1.
        3. Then we do independent keyword research to fill in the gaps within each topic and merge them up with step 2.
        4. Now, we look at the competition of a topic cluster as a whole(not individual keywords) to understand which competitor has how much coverage for each topic. Plus, we look at their link profile, traffic growth, On-page and EEAT tactics etc.
        5. Based on 4, we create an order of which topics are easier for our client to cover now, and which are for later.
        6. Eventually, we want our client to cover everything to capture leads. But at a slow pace. Meanwhile, we suggest guest posts, HARO and Digital PR as link sources, and create an EEAT around the niche across both on and off the website.

For a general breakdown of topic clustering and competition analysis in SEO:

          Keyword Discovery:
Begin by identifying relevant keywords using tools like Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or SEO Stack.

          Content Gap Analysis:
Analyze competitor content to identify gaps and opportunities. Tools like SEMrush and Ahrefs can help in this process.

          Topic Clustering:
Group related keywords into clusters based on thematic relevance. Each cluster represents a content topic.

          Content Creation:
Develop high-quality, comprehensive content for each cluster, addressing various aspects of the topic.

          Internal Linking:
Use internal links to connect related content within your website, strengthening the topical authority of your pages.

          Backlink Analysis:
Analyze competitors' backlink profiles to identify potential linking opportunities. Tools like Ahrefs and Moz can assist in backlink analysis.

          Monitoring and Adjusting:
Regularly monitor rankings, traffic, and engagement metrics. Adjust your strategy based on performance and changes in the competitive landscape.
