Experimenting with free shipping

After wrapping up a few monthlong newsletter promos and my continued podcast tour for The Tiny MBA, during November I'm trying out free shipping.

We will make a little bit less per book on international orders, but by my estimates based in actual shipping costs it's really a very small amount less, and my hunch is that we can more than make up for in additional orders.

Previously, the paperback book was $14.99 + $4.99 shipping domestically, or +$7.99 internationally.

Now its $19.99 with free shipping anywhere!

Very interested to see how this impacts the checkout conversions after 30 days. Will report back!

Why not make it 25.99 with the option for free shipping at 19.99 with an artificial step.. share with friends etc etc.

I get the idea here, but trying to get people to share BEFORE they buy is putting the friction in the wrong place.
