Favorite Low-code / No-code tools?

I'm interested to hear what your favorite low-code / no-code tools are.

Bonus question: what is your favorite little know low-code / no-code tool?

I'm looking forward to seeing what you all come up with.
And hopefully, we'll all be able to find some cool new tools!

Cheers!

Zapier, Spreadsheet, Notion, Webflow + MemberStack.

Bonus question: what is your favorite little know low-code / no-code tool?

It's a tool I am building for the last few years called https://automatio.co. It's a powerful no-code web automation/data extraction tool.

    1. 1

solid list of the no-code essentials there (and for good reason). Automatio looks really cool too, I'll have to check it out.

      1. 2

Thanks, Harris, it's indeed that cool. More it's to come, stay tuned!

My all time favourite: Carrd, Zapier, Airtable, Email Octopus, Gumroad

I used these tools for my latest project: VenturesList.com

    1. 1

yeah cool! can you tell me a bit more about EmailOctopus? I've been hearing good things about it but haven't checked it out too much.

  3. 3

My favourite is Webflow, hands down. Built https://martinhudobivnik.com yesterday in 20 minutes and put it live on Github pages for free :D

I'm also getting into Notion, as it sounds really interesting! Don't have any dark horses to share.

    1. 2

Looks super slick! I can see why you're a fan, I've used it in the past as well and it really is just a great product. I also checked out some of your Webflow templates and they look really great too. I've been on-and-off with Notion, I think it's super cool but I end up overwhelming myself trying to use it for tons of different things at once hahaha, maybe one day I'll find something that works 😊

Zapier, DronaHQ, Notion and ... Wordpress 👀

Zapier has made automation and integrations for a non-tech user like me really simple. I have created Parking Solutions [daily status updates, plot assignment, integration with google sheets] It is my go to when straightforward API configuration or a ready connector is not available.

Wordpress - As much as I'd like to try Webflow and Carrd, there is something very straightforward and strong about wordpress. I am still exploring capabilities + alternatives.

Notion - Recently started using Notion and its super cool. Another platform im still exploring.

DronaHQ - I work with DronaHQ. But on a candid note I really like the ease of use and the versatility of the platform to whip up dashboards and workflow automation tools that compliment my work. It would be a good to check out platform if you want flexibility to build just front end or just back end with no-code.

I started with Adalo, but quickly hit the limits of whats possible in its actual form and sadly APIs are not usable in the free tier and I dont wanted to use their Database for storing my data.
Next created a bubble.io account, but only did the tutorials.. short after that I discovered Appgyver and am doing the tutorials at the moment.
For now I like it more than the others, because it's free for indies, so you can test as long as you wish and it seems more technical as the others, I like it because i'm a technical person and working in IT, but never really learned how to code properly xD

I like Webflow, Squarespace, Airtable, and Zapier.

    • Squarespace: straightforward, easy to use and the community is big and supportive so you’ll get most of the answers.
    • Webflow: higher learning curve than Squarespace but their support/tutorials are one of the best out there.

I‘m using Webflow and Airtable for my latest MVP: Doesign.co

  7. 2

Adalo for native mobile apps. I am very new to it and barely know it but it's the easiest to learn IMHO. I've tried other native app platforms and they are so nonintuitive and clunky. Not Adalo.

    1. 1

thanks for the reply! sounds cool, i'll check it out

  8. 2

I used pory.io to build my database of growth strategies -> Growthunt

    1. 2

Heard many good things about pory.io. What’s your experience with the platform? I’m looking for a way to set up my database directory for Doesign.co (I’m using Airtable)

  9. 2

    Automate.io I like a lot - a great free plan.

  10. 2

My site fourthwavestudios.com is powered by Landen.co such a great tool, had saved me countless hours

    1. 1

      Thanks for your recommendation @jschiarizzi

We have just updated our product name today! If you haven't checked it out yet https://www.umso.com/

    2. 1

can you tell me more? I've heard good things about Landen and have checked out the home page - what are some of the things you think it does best? worst?

      1. 1

@harrisonbroadbent With Umso https://www.umso.com/ (formerly Landen) you can build a professional website with just a few clicks. Some of the best pros we have are how easy and user-friendly our editor is and the simplicity of it for noncoders, but if you have coding experience you can easily modify anything you need to make it fit exactly how you want it. We can integrate with many services, and we offer custom integrations as well. We have blogging, custom forms, and so on! I think it is definitely worth checking out. We have a free version :)

A "con" for some customers is that sometimes they just want the flexibility that some website builders like Wix have, which is not our vision. We are redesigning our editor, but we are keeping the same style where we have pre-made sections.

Formito.com is what I'm building and it's my favorite little know no-code tool! This could be an interface on top of your data with ability to accept payment. I'm working on a converter tool where you can turn your Airtable base or Google forms into a chatbot.

  12. 2

I'm actually working on one of these! The idea is basically a big no-code interactive event builder. You create presentations and when you share with your audience, they join in on their phones, and can interact with your content / answer your questions / vote on others' submitted content, etc. Think like PPT meets Jackbox games.

We're live in beta now: https://slideswith.com/

    1. 2

Yeah cool! That sounds like it could be really interesting - what is your target market for this? Sounds like it would be useful in schools to help teachers build interactive content, but that's just me brainstorming. Interested to hear your take.

      1. 2

Yes! Teachers, remote managers/coworkers, friends, community managers — anyone who's working with groups of one to many that wants to create an experience or teach or impart information.

We're really influenced by the way Notion found its footing, though -- as in, it's a no-code platform, but that's not what it bills itself as (because people generally aren't looking for 'powerful/flexible no code tool', they're looking for 'thing that solves my problem.')

        1. 1

yeah that's a great perspective I think to have on your problem<->solution fit! looking forward to seeing how you grow!

  13. 2

I'm a big fan of Webflow. I love that I have the choice of either hosting in on their platform (one-click) or exporting and hosting where ever I want. For the backend, I use and love Integromat. Again, that comes with me if I export off of Webflow 😎

    1. 1

yeah nice, webflow hosting is super simple, one of my favourite things about it too!

  14. 2

Webflow and Adalo are my favorites. Just getting into Appgyver now.

    Getting into Backendless for CMS.

    1. 1

Appgyver is so powerful. I tried them both and sadly the learning curve of Appgyver is steep and there is currently not much support/tutorials so I’m looking for other alternatives.

    2. 1

yeah cool, gonna have to check some of those out!

  15. 1

Notion, Airtable, Softr.io (I'm biased here, just a bit ;))

  16. 1

I'm working on https://getbiew.com/ which is a no-code website builder which uses google sheets to manage the data in your website. IMHO is one of the easiest no-code tools to get started with but I might me biased.

  17. 1

    Appsheets does it for me

  18. 1

I started out building ruttl.com with the thoughts of No-Code.
Do check it out, you might find it interesting!

  19. 1

    Google AppSheet, Google Tables, Glide

  20. 1

we use wappler.io - powerful low code tool to accelerate complex web app development - without any platform lock-in!

    1. 1

oh, that looks way more interesting than Appygver!

      1. 1

yeah, it is. slightly higher learning curve is worth the flexibility the platform offers - without any lock-ins!

  21. 1

I believe static websites are the future. I actually wrote an article about it on Medium: https://medium.com/@stefanneculai/how-to-build-a-free-static-website-with-jekyll-and-github-pages-707e1cd5ffc3.

Static presentation websites are better than dynamic ones. They have better security and no complex dependencies. They are fast and you can host them for free (or cheap). I prefer using the magic combination of Jekyll and Github Pages.

To answer my own question, I stumbled upon Paragon a few days ago and I think it's super cool. I've only had a small tinker, and the pricing structure could do with some tweaking to make it more friendly to small projects, but I'll definitely be watching it closely!
