Feedback on my newsletter idea - unheard data/facts

So it all started out with this -

Why people express ideas without facts or numbers?
I am not saying that talking numbers and shit make you sound cool...I just want to express that if you are trying to prove something seriously then better back it up with data. I asked some of my classmates who fall under this domain and realized that people who read less or who don't read factual/ data-backed articles, books are more likely to get into this problem.

So, I started this newsletter where I send DataCards bi-weekly which only contain unheard data curated by me from various articles, reports.

For example - " The global anime market size was valued at USD 20.47 billion in 2018"

Initially, I started doing this on WhatsApp to help my brother and some classmates but soon realized that many people might need it.

I need genuine feedback on my idea.
Thank You

I like the idea of this a lot. I'd second what @consoffner said. You should consider posting all of your facts to a blog. That would give you the opportunity to build search traffic around your project, and would give your readers to dig in and discover more content if they read a fact that really piqued their interest in an email.

Many email providers (like AWeber where I run product) have tools to automatically create and send emails from RSS feeds, so it could automate the email part once you post on a blog.

I'm a big fan of the "no dead ends" approach to email, so if you had a site with lots of facts listed as individual posts, you could give your super fans a call to action to read more facts.

Yah , I will work on that blog part.
I am thinking of creating a repository type of blog where even the source of those data/facts will be available. This way subscribers will be more interested in going through the blog.
what are your views on this ?

And thanks for your valuable suggestion. I will check out AWeber

I really like the idea of making your sources transparent. You could also include some neat bonuses on the blog like interactive charts that deal with your data in the future (definitely don't overcomplicate things until you learn what folks want).

And if you ever want to brainstorm about email (whether you use AWeber or something else), PLEASE let me know. I love it and love talking with people who are using email to educate or entertain others.

Yah, I will first observe how things are moving and then implement your idea of interactive charts..I liked it honestly

I like the idea. I just signed up to your newsletter. I myself am not so much an email person, often emails that don't need a response from me often are marked unread for days in my inbox and sometimes I finally read them or dont. So I am wondering if there may be a nicer way to distribute them. But, either way, I think starting with an email newsletter is the logical step as everyone has an email and you see how much interest is there. Maybe you could additionally post every email you send also to your blog or somewhere else.

      Thanks for your interest
"often emails that don't need a response from me"
So, can I assume that promotional emails hardly affect your buying decisions?
And also if you can tell what's your preferred source of getting industry related mews/information?

Your reply made me realize very fundamental issue of not focusing on one distribution channel forever. Thanks again

"And also if you can tell what's your preferred source of getting industry related mews/information?" to be honest, i don't know :D

"So, can I assume that promotional emails hardly affect your buying decisions?", I think so with one exception. For example if I have bought somewhere something and was happy with it and keep getting rarely newsletter from a company, I would be too lazy to unsubscribe but only delete them each time. I don't buy anything directly after seeing a newsletter from them but I probably gets reminded each time of this company and if I need something they offer the chances are higher that I buy from them because I remember there name.
