Feedback on UpMock landingpage

Hey everyone!

I've built a landing page for UpMock.io and I wanted to get some feedback about the following:

  • Is it clear what UpMock does?
  • Is it clear who UpMock is supposed to help?
  • Is something important missing?

Please give me an honest feedback so I can make it better.

Thank you in advance!

Hi Christian—congrats on getting out a landing page! Here are my first impressions.

    1. It's a bit difficult to scan: too much text, not enough whitespace
    2. The 3D mockup took a pretty long time to load, even on my fast connection. I thought half the page was blank at first.
    3. Type: "stunnig" should be "stunning"
    4. Email input is black text on dark-grey background, so I can't really read what I'm typing
    5. I agree with the other comment about the mockup itself: you should use an actual app! That's how people are going to want to use your product.
    6. Your headline should tell me what I can do, e.g. "Create stunning 3D mockups in seconds." Also I'd recommend losing the exclamation points—you don't want to sound like you're shouting

    Hope that's helpful. Good luck!

Love it! Maybe it just lacks the policies in the footer.. Great job Christian! :)

      Thank you!

      That's true.
I will add it soon. ;)

I like so far, just some minor things you might want to look on:

    • Doesn't https://mockuphone.com/#ios already do this? What makes you unique?
    • You might want to change the "I need it!" in the sign up CTA to something better, it comes off the wrong way.
    • A more impactful image on the phone would leave a more powerful impression.

      Hey aaemiro,
      thanks for your feedback!

      • Mockuphone kind of do this, but they don't create 3D mockups. So, that is unique.
      • Yeah, already thought about that. Need to find a better one.
      • How should it look like? An image of an app, a normal home-screen or something else?

Try to put yourself in your user's shoes. When they come to your site, they'll probably already have an idea of what they want to use your site for. Try to imagine what kind of screens they would be using, and add an image that you think similar to that. So that it leaves an impression, like "Ah, thats exactly what I want to do".

          You're right.
          Thank you!

Is it clear what UpMock does?

    • Yes, it's clear. The headline and copywriting are great.

Is it clear who UpMock is supposed to help?

    • Can reduce a bit buzzword / technical words for people who are less technical

    Is something important missing?

    • It takes some time to load the 3D mock up, would be nice to see more case studies / examples of mockup you can make

I'm also re-designing my website for a side project, would be great to hear your feedback. And I think there's room for us to collab :)

      Hi Felix,

      thank you for your reply.

      • What do you mean with buzzword/technical words?
Which one is to "buzzy" or to technical?

      • The loading time will be reduced the next days (hopefully :P).
The reason there are no more examples is, that this landing page is mainly for validating the idea. So, working on the current landing page should consume as less time as possible.

      Nice idea!
It is a lot of manual work for you to design such layouts, am I right?
The design of your website works well, only the features in your "What's inside?" section are a bit too small in my opinion.

      Definitely!
Let us talk sometime about this again. ;)
