Feeling down or burned out?

Rosie Sherry @rosiesherry

I went through my own burn out a few years back, it took me a while to claw my way back and to even recognise it for what it was.

Here's a handy little tool I stumbled upon to help you think about where you are right now.

Maybe it will help someone here. ❤️

@rosiesherry - Interesting, I'm classed as mid risk but I completed the questions based on my "day job". I think if I was answering from a IH perspective I would be ok.

Just need to make the IH activity work for me now!

I wish I was in your same position IH wise. I'm at a stage where I'm feeling slightly overwhelmed with tasks but I know I can pull through. Just taking some time off. What are you working on?

      1. 1

I'm currently working on my ebay Data Extract tool ( which I launched last month. I think if this was my main source of income then I would be feeling more burned out but because it's more of a hobby at present I'm finding working on it quite enjoyable!

I think it's good to take time off every now and then. Good luck with that and hopefully the break means you can jump back into your IH project with a bit more energy!

I went from HIGH to LOW, when comparing my last full-time job (80k/yr) to my current approach of trying to start a business with a few profitable products (in which I'm risking everything I own, spending approx. 28k in personal and professional expenses last year with a chance of possibly failing.) To me, the job I left defines a "toxic environment".

Given there is a fuzzy line in between depression and burnout, you might as well do a quick check to see how you're doing when it comes down to depression. See

If you happen to score pretty high on the PHQ-9, you might think it'll blow over. Let me spoil it for you; it does not. Get help while you're still able to do so. If you do not have the emotional capacity to figure out where to start, reach out to someone who might want to help you. Feel free to reach out to me and I'd be happy to help you figure out where to start patching things up.

What a wonderful resource, @rosiesherry! Thank you! I will be spreading this far and wide, I may start using it with my own clients.

Thanks for sharing I needed this. I've been fairly certain I've been pretty burnt out at my day job this past year. But haven't addressed that. This gave me a burnout rate of high which was both frustrating and relieving to know.

Very neat!! Apparently I’m mid... would be interesting to take into account family life as well into the equation as I find that it can be a factor for exhaustion etc.,

This is great, thanks! It's really important for people to be aware of how they're feeling.

very helpful! I did the test with the same mind I had when I thought I was close to burn out and the score was high indeed. Thanks

Yep, I just wrote a post about this. Thank you Rosie, I'll check this out.
