Finding customers to interview is driving me nuts. Wtf?

Hey everyone,

I'm working on my first business and I've been trying to do cold outreach for days. I believe now(after reflecting) that my problem is really niche and that my customers are simply lurking on forums and not commenting! So I can't do much cold outreach 'cause very few of them comment.

I tried to 'pull' them out by making posts on reddit and facebook. I'm going to try again on reddit and Linkedin latere, but on Facebook it's so damn full of spammers! And 90% of the people in every group I join are Nigerians for some reason(not my target audience)...

Has anyone had similar experiences? Tf do I do?

P.S. I'm at the 'problem interviews' stage. Looking for ppl to validate my problem with.

- It might be worth trying to find particular communities where the people your looking to target hangout.
- Also, you might want to entice people a bit more for an interview, because it is there time. You could say your willing to pay people for their time (obviously actually paying them as well. You don't want to scam people.)

I ran into this problem and built The User Interview Exchange for this reason. Perhaps your audience is even too niche (i.e. Looking for crop advisors and agro experts in the US) but it might be worth a post, you never know :)
