First paying customer! Woo! 🥳

I was just checking my dashboard, like we all do, and to my surprise, someone has purchased the only paid template on Good Code.

Definitely a great motivation and I hope all upcoming templates will be of people's liking.

Next goal: Grow the /r/GoodCodeChallenge subreddit!

"like we all do"... runs to check all checkable dashboards again just in case

    Congrats, very exciting!

Hahaha, it's very mentally tiring at times to keep checking your stats.

      Thank you!

Congrats! Have you considered adding a paid subscription for those who want a detailed breakdown of the challenge afterwards? I think it could work if you have a decent number of followers.

      Thank you!

I haven't spent time working on my monetization yet. I'm focusing more on the development side since I am not a developer, and it's what it takes up most of my time. For example, I plan on adding a Gatsby blog to the React version of this website (which is up and running) but I need to figure how to route the links to the blog and whatnot.

I am sure these are all trivial to any developer but I am learning as I go!

That's pretty cool. Best of luck then! And remember, perseverance's the key to great success.

    Congrats, Moemin! 🎉

Congrats! I got my first customer yesterday for my product so I have the same feeling as you still in my body.

That feeling is great. Keep up the good job!

Thank you, can't say it's anything new but I hope I can grow it into something helpful for aspiring developers :)

New to me! That's the best part about serving a niche audience :)

    1. 1

Thank you, definitely a great motivator.

Congrats! I remember the feeling I got on our first customer. It was a rush. :)

Thanks, yea definitely a great feeling 😁

Congrats, huge first step! I just wanted to comment to say that your landing page is beautiful (although I guess for a product targeting front-end developers it has to be). Well done.

Definitely! Thank you, glad you liked the design!

congrats. just interested on how you created the animation on your homepage:

    1. 1

Thank you, it's a JSON file uploaded to Lottie's web player and embedded in the HTML file.

      1. 1

yeah, but how did you make the animation?

        1. 1

The JSON file has all the animation data, the animation+illustration I downloaded from a website whose name I don't remember unfortunately.

  9. 1

Awesome! Curious where you got the animation on your homepage? Did you create it?

    1. 1

Thank you, it's a JSON file uploaded to Lottie's web player and embedded in the HTML file. I don't remember exactly where I got it, I have a folder full of MIT licensed illustrations.
