First-time author online community?
I just started writing a book about the Postgres database. Is there some sort of online community that I should get hooked into? I'd be interested in how to pick a publisher, how to format the manuscript and screen prints, etc.

This may not be the right community, but in case this helps...
NaNoWriMo (aka National Novel Writing Month) celebrates November where everyone is trying to write a novel. I have not participated or looked inside, but I hear there's a highly-active community (year round) of first-time writers.
Naturally, I imagine there's probably way more fiction writers than technical, but their Discourse/forums may be worth checking out.
Regarding community check IRC, slack, meetup.
Btw, I do Postgres management. Happy if I can be useful.
