Follower-only links to 10x your Twitter audience

I'm building a follower-only link service to help people grow their audiences on Twitter.

For example, let's say you are planning to share a free guide via Gumroad. You currently have a pinned tweet on your profile that goes direct to Gumroad.

With follower-only links, you would share a different link. The link would first check whether the user is already following you on Twitter before redirecting them to the freebie.

If you're trying to build an audience on Twitter, would this be something you're interested in?

Would this be something you would use?

Actually, I don't want some random post shared on my profile just because I am following that person.
This is not safe and may soon become irrelevant because every account owner may have a different business type that requires different audience eyeballs.

I think it depends on what your users' objectives are:

    • Do they want to gain Twitter followers?
    • Do they want to gain email addresses for their mailing list?
    • Do they want to get their foot into the door with the free product to upsell their users later?

If the objective is to gain Twitter followers, your product would be cool. If the objective is anything else, they'd probably not want to use it.

Therefore, I'd try to find communities of people who try to grow their Twitter following. Then I'd try to get waiting list email signups or even paid pre-orders to have a meaningful metric of whether people want this.

If you have a minute, I'd really appreciate some help on this post. Thanks a lot in advance!
