Freelancers, where do you usually get your projects from?

Hi Freelancers,

I have been working fully remote since last few months. I have a full time job and at the same time I do freelancing work on the side.

I'm curious to know if there are similar bunch of folks around here. As a freelancer, do you have a specific method of getting projects? I have seen most of the folks rely on Upwork. But I don't think that is an efficient and quick way of getting constant flow of projects/assignments.

Where do you get your projects from? And what are the challenges you're facing?fre

Hey Piyush. I'm in a similar situation as you. I have a full-time job and I freelance on the side. I'm planning to 'do the leap' the next month or two depending on the current COVID situation.

I rely mostly on Reddit r/forhire for getting clients. It's a bit competitive but not impossible to land clients.

      Hi @AthosBlade

Thanks for that Reddit idea. I hadn't heard that one before. I'll definitely check it out!

Curious to know, how are you planning on taking 'the leap'? Have you been building a product on the side which you will be monetizing or full time working for clients?

I plan to increase hours for the current clients.

I'd really love to build a product one day but I currently have no ideas worth pursuing.
