From 13 followers to 1000 in less than 2 weeks ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

First of all, let me say I'm really grateful to all of you who decided to follow and support me in the last two weeks.

Here are the stats (although it says a 28 day summary I started taking it seriously and posting daily content on March, 28th 2021):

I tweet mostly about guides on how certain topics of web development work.

This are the things that worked for me and helped me achieve 1000 followers in such a short period of time:

1. Post quality content daily:

I try to post at least 1 tweet per day packed with quality visuals and content like this one:

2. Reach out to larger accounts (accounts with ~5000 - ~50.000 followers):

Ask them kindly to check out your content, and if they happen to like it leaving a like or comment is going to highly increase your reach to other accounts.

3. Genuinely care about people:

There is no much to say about this other than, care about other peoples problem, and help them as much as you can.

This is my response to someone that wanted to start learning CSS and didn't know where to start:

4. Engage with bigger accounts in your niche:

Add value to their tweets, ask questions, put your name out there, people will start recognizing you.

Can you provide example tweets of yours for #2, 3, and 4?
How often are you doing 2-4?

    1. 2

Sure! Let me update the post with an image for those cases. I try to engage with bigger account in their tweets daily. I only reach out over DMs once every 4-5 to the same person. Don't want to come off as a spammer ๐Ÿ˜…

        Thanks for the update!

I love to see how there's no free lunch for anything in this life. To get the audience reach you have to put the work.

But obviously having a framework and consistency provides the scalability of the efforts.

I would be curious to hear about the 'content' creation. Do you keep some sort of repository of interesting potential content to share on Twitter?

Wow, great progress! Congratulations! Thank you for sharing these tips.

No problem! thank you for the kind words ๐Ÿ˜Š

Have you converted any of these followers into dollars?

    1. 1

No. My goal right now is to solidify my knowledge as a frontend developer and share what I learn with others.

Hey! thanks a lot for your kind words ๐Ÿ™ I'm planning on posting another one like this because from Saturday til now I gain 645 followers ๐Ÿ˜ฑ, hope this is useful information to others!

Thanks a lot for writing a genuine post, without marketing fluff. Feels me with hope :)

No problem! I always found long posts tedious to read so I tried to keep it short, glad you find it useful.

By the way there is nothing special about me, if I could do that anyone can. It takes a bit of work thats all.

Congratulations @Jmoller2106! Did you happen to track your time? Curious how many hours per day/week spent crafting the content + tweets and DMs.

    1. 1

Thanks for the kind words!! ๐Ÿ˜Š Yes I did, so on average I spent 2.5 hours crafting the content (includes research) + 30min reaching out to people and engaging with bigger accounts (total 3 hours per day). There was only one day in those 12 days that I didn't tweet. Hope you find it useful.
