Gas Lighting - Have You Been Here Before?

Just spent the morning visiting with three founders from a university tech incubator based in Texas.

They walked away last week from a visit with a VC feeling low. It was as if this investor went way overboard.

They spent close to two hours with this potential investor and his team.

My advice:
1) VC or no VC, nobody needs to mow you or your confidence down

2) Ask yourself, is this the type of partner I want to share my ups & downs with? You should know this by the first 3 minutes of any meeting.

3) Tough love is good to be exposed to from time to time, but there is a fine line attached to ideas and the human experience.

Be a lighthouse to someone new this week.
