Get Advice community

I'm launching this new side project https://getadvice.github.io/ to create a community of tech people willing to spend some of their free time to have calls with people that need advice on your area of expertise.

I think we do this on a daily basis, but sometimes a 15 or 30 mins call can really make a difference for someone starting a new project or trying to understand something.

No money involved except donations for the volunteers.

This seems like an interesting idea. Are you planning to keep it limited to tech industry only, for now?

Hello, I'm just getting started so nothing is written stone for now.

Is this something you will use or maybe become a volunteer?

      1. 1

I am not sure about it but if i do, I would love to do both.

Great job Adriano, I would like to hear more about this and be part of the volunteering group! Let me know if we can setup a call to go over the plan?

Love this! I've always thought it'd be a good idea to advise on tech stacks for different verticals or e-comm platforms.

Hey, thanks for the support. You're welcome to join as a volunteer! There's really no obligations except giving some free time (30 mins a week for example).

I wouldn't mind having a call if you have questions about it or need help with join in.

This is quite interesting, I have ppl in my community who is doing the same thing as u r doing. But for lawyers and entrepreneurs. How do u guys do follow-ups? is it call only or there's a place for ppl to leave comments?

    1. 1

Hey, cool to hear that!. I've just launched yesterday so there's nothing more than the blog that you're seeing.

I'll have to wait and see how things evolve in the next months.

Thanks for the comments, and could you sent me the link to other site to see how that works?

      1. 1

U wanna see how their community works? what do u mean by "to other site". didnt quite get that sorry

        1. 1

Maybe I got it wrong. I understood that people in your community have started a similar project. I assumed that they were using an app/web and that's why I was asking for a link.

          1. 1

no, they put their communities on community platforms. I think they r private and I am not a member in their community. But basically they are building their community on platforms that allows members to interact and make threads.
Some of them are transferring their community on pubb.at, which is where I built my community. It's called <pubb builder community>. I can show u the landing page if u r interested. https://kanglelin.com/pubbbuilderproject/
