I have been intrigued about different approaches at the governance of online communities and was wondering what have fellow indie hackers implemented if they've given it any thought at all.
If you are building a community, and you are aiming at having thousands of members, you'll need to delegate moderation. But what about guidelines? How would you take input from the members? How do you balance the value you give and the value you take? Would you be willing to hold elections, for example?
there are so many existing governance models... many attributed to open source... have you done much research at all?
I have done tons of research, yes. Stil, I want to hear first-hand from indie hackers what their thoughts are, not what an open-source community (or Wikipedia) chose.
