Hacking BitClout — Let's follow each other!

Last week I signed up to BitClout.
Despite the fact some people say it might be a scam... 🤔
I personally love it.

Do you guys are on the platform?
If yes, share your account and tell us why we should follow you.

I'll start!

Why follow me: every day I share Top 3 "business things" for your personal and professional growth as a founder.

Here is an example of one of my last post:

Nice! Good to see some interest about BitClout here.

BitCloutFollow has its own account too:

I'm very bullish on the platform. I'm not really into the speculating part (that is fun too though), but I'm more interested in a decentralized social network and possibilities that opens up.

    1. 2

I LOVE that last aspect too.
Really interested in how this new business model can change the way we use and consume social networks. In particular how it rewards makers instead of advertisers

It's also interesting that there is a cost to use the platform (posting, liking, following, etc) requires tiny amounts of BitClout which most people get for free.

Many users have been asking to be able to pay Twitter to avoid the ads/tracking and it's great to see this is baked into BitClout.

        1. 1

          Uah, interesting I didn't know that! 👀

  3. 3

So far I've seen two very different sides of BitClout...

On one side it feels very exciting and I can definitely see the value of having real money behind a social network. Especially for us IndieHackers who can provide real value in our content.

The other side is a bunch of spammy comments and DMs from people (probably bots) begging you to buy their coin. This is the biggest problem I see in all decentralized applications, especially when real money is involved. I'm hoping they develop some sort of "three-strike" system to ban these types of accounts.

Either way, I'm excited to explore this new frontier and looking forward to following your great content over there as well!

Also, I've gotta give @mubashariqbal a shoutout on there as well → bitclout.com/u/mubashariqbal

He just launched BitCloutFollow and his excitement around the new ecosystem gets me more and more excited every time.

I've enjoyed mucking around with BitClout and seeing all of the experiments folks are running. Perhaps more importantly, it also makes me nostalgic for the early days of Twitter 😂

    I'll post this warning again:

AFAIK there is no way to withdraw your money from Bitclout, currently. There's no proof it's not a scam, and many many people are saying it's a scam.

Thanks man, yeah I know that!

What do you think about BitClout exactly? I've heard there are plenty of opportunities to seize, but I also saw how controversial it can be. What do you have to know before signing up there?

    1. 1

      You should know this:

      – mind how you store your seed phrase, it's the key to your wallet
      – make Founder Reward Percentage 100% and buy your own coin first
      – don't give any money over there that you can't lose

And here's my post about it:
