Have you built friendship online? and How?
I realize that I have a hard time building connections. I mean, is building an audience = building friendships? And I also wonder if friendships built are based on transactional (e.g. You provide values, shared interest) or literally pure from heart?

I think technology can distort our ideas about relationships when everything becomes represented as 'connections'. You can try getting involved in a community (sports, clubs, religious, etc…) in your local area (preferably nothing to do with the Internet) and see what you can contribute or help with.
