Have you ever heard about the Innovator's Dilemma?

In a guest lecture at Saïd Business School (Oxford University) Mr. Clayton Christensen summarizes previous thoughts as the following:

"In America in the last 20 years the number of disruptive innovations that our [the US] economy has produced is about a third of the disruptive innovations that emerged in our [the US] economy in the 50s 60s and 70s. So we’re (…) taking a lot more jobs essentially out relative to the number that we’re creating with disruptive innovation - and that’s what’s wrong with our [the US] economy."

Despite this lecture being from 2013, I am convinced that the statement still holds true today. I am desperate to read about disruptive innovations. What do you think about this topic and do you know any recent disruptive technologies?
