Have you used Fiverr or another place to get an explainer video made?

After speaking with users it's become clear to me that adding a short 2D animated explainer video to my landing page would really help communicate my product's idea.

I've been looking around on Fiverr and there seems to be some good options for relatively cheap (~$300). I'm just wondering if anyone has had any of these made before and what the impact was? Also, what should I prepare upfront in order to get what I want and communicate the idea clearly to the freelancer?
