Help needed in setting pricing plan of my product.

Hey Indie hackers 👋

I am building a web scraping software usually for non-technical users, with some advanced features such as page automations, infinite scroll etc. Which is coming soon this month.

The problem is with the pricing plan. I am not asking you to give me the exact amount I should use for pricing,
but to give me some ideas regarding my thought
That I will kept it for 5 days free trial.
And after that I will charge them some amount, but not the monthly charges but keeping it as one time purchase.

Is this the right way for getting more people attracted and comfortable towards the pricing of the product, or how can I build their trust towards a new product.

Any feedback would be appreciated 😊👍

Calculate the monetary value your solution would bring to a customer. Takes that value and divide it by ten. Then approach customers. If all your customers say yes, it's worth it. Then increase your price until at-least 20% of people say no to it. If people said no to it completely at the beginning, then you approached the wrong people or need to reevaluate the value of your product/service. Something that may or may not work for you but is a suggestion. Everyone who said yes to you early-on is grandfathered-in to the price they agreed to.

If I were a customer of your product, I would also prefer a pay-per-usage system considering that your software is a web scraper. I also wouldn't suggest one time purchase - a lot of bootstrapped projects rely on a consistent high quality user base (ie. people who love the product and are likely to continue paying the subscription) rather than a growing user base. This is mainly because it's difficult to maintain a constantly increasing rate of growth.

Going through this exercise right now as well. Did a reddit post and got some good links and suggestions. Check out some of the pages suggested further down in the comments

    Hey Abhay!
For this kind of service, I believe pay-per-usage is what most people will be used to.
The more they use (and receive value from it), the more you earn, totally fair.
