I'm looking to purchase a .com.au domain, but turns out only AU citizens or people with a business in Australia can register .com.au domains. You need to have an ABN.
I asked my registrar and their answer was very vague. So I honestly don't know. I personally don't think that someone can control a domain just with an ABN...
What about name/last name / address / email address? What if you typed in the wrong ABN ( there is no verification mechanism)
Hey dude, If you’re an Australian citizen it is very simple to get an ABN
If you’re not, you’re entitled to apply for one but the process is a pain
If you have a friend in AUS you might want to ask if you could use their ABN?
Thanks buddy!
In case I use someone's ABN, does it give them the ability to control the domain? Or is it just a regulatory procedure?
