Hello indie hackers!
I am Emir, co-founder of HockeyStack Analytics. We reached 1900 websites! As a celebration, we launched insights, which was a feature that all of our users were waiting for:
A key takeaway for me was even though a lot of people request some features, not adding them is better if they don't align with our vision because when I explained to them our vision, the majority of them joined us.
To give context to this, a lot of people requested heatmap and session replay from us, but they don't align with our vision as we are focused on making actionable insights simple and fast. Watching session replays takes a lot of time and heatmaps give insights that you would probably guess without them. (of course, there are some useful things about heatmaps, but you can analyze them faster)
Adding features only to satisfy users would be a huge fail if we did that.
Whooo! On to 10,000!!
