How can I add more fine-grained unsubscribe options to my newsletter?

Hey everyone, I'm currently using Mailchimp to send product updates to my customers and I'd like to start sending some emails that are only going to be useful to a portion of customers (potentially <30%).

I'd like to make it easy for people to unsubscribe from those emails without unsubscribing from the entire mailing list.

It looks like you can accomplished in Mailchimp by having multiple "audiences", but then many subscribers would be counted twice in terms of total subscribers under my plan and things could get expensive.

Does anyone have suggestions on a better way to deal with this? It would be great if I could basically insert a link that "unsubscribes" a user from a tag (aka just removes that tag from them).

I think you have to do it by having everyone in the same audience but putting them in groups: https://mailchimp.com/help/how-to-use-groups-to-add-or-update-subscriber-preferences/

Ahh this is what I was looking for. Thank you!
