How can I get google to index my web apps that contain barely any text?

It is easy to get google to index written content, but what do you to when the app has barely any text?

For example I have an app that is a board game. Except for privacy and terms, the entire app has very little text. This is only one app, I have many similar apps that mainly consist of inputs and buttons and such.

I can hack the page and display different content for robots and/or use the <noscript/> tag, but is that even the correct strategy? Any kind of SEO experiment is very slow, so if anyone has faced this same issue please share your tips or what has worked for you.

What I've seen people do is just ADD text. For example, add a description of the board game. Add what people can expect of the board game. Heck, write a whole 800-page article around the board games.

I would avoid any black/gray hat strategies. Been there, done that, been burned 1000s of times

I came back to this -- perhaps you remember this thing but in 2014 it blew up. Back then it was a github page not much text ever on the page, and still google knows exactly what to do with it. Is it the backlinks or what? Trying to understand how this worked out since it is similar use case.

I was afraid this was the answer... Thanks for your insight!
