How can I market a one-page developer tool?

Hello,
I started looking into Google SEO because I don't want to use ads.
It seems like I need to put a lot of emphasis on content, which is not that relevant to the product I'm building (a one-click tool to help with developer tasks, like a color picker for example).
How can I generate better marketing (and SEO) for people to come to my site especially in the beginning? do I have to attach a blog to it / more content to the page?

I would guess a single landing page would not be enough, though it's definitely worth optimizing the page for SEO as much as you can.

A blog is an option, or just useful content on other pages (I'm personally moving away from the idea of a blog and more towards the idea of a digital garden).

Another option is inbound links, maybe look to guest post in places that already have a certain amount of good traction.

Awesome, inbound links could be the way, also what is your definition of a "digial garden"?

A website that you maintain the content on and keep organised and moving away from the emphasis of the latest blog post being the main attraction.
