How can SaaS companies partner in marketing?

One of the ways is when Products/Services are natural upsells of each other.

So what do I mean? πŸ€”

Let’s look at an example πŸ‘‡

So one of my products - zubbit.io - allows users to add adverts to any content you share by taking any piece of quality content from the web and shortening the URL of the content into a zubbit.io short link and then it lets you add pre-saved sticky adverts over that content.

So the benefit of that is you can monetize any quality content on the web, thus enabling you to x100 your Content Marketing output without hiring additional writers and content creators.

So where is the natural upsell and partner?

The obvious one is social posting tools which give users the option to shorten the links used in the posts.

So the posting tools get a further option to shorten links with all the enhanced link shortening functionality zubbit.io has to offer and zubbit.io gets to partner with tools that help our users distribute their content more easily.

So we enhance their delivery capability and they enhance our distribution capability.

Perfect match!

So that’s the way I’d look at it with any SaaS. Who is your natural upsell partner?

Also, look for natural down-sell partners but that’s another topic.

The above is just an example idea but would love to hear about how others are doing this.

PS, If anyone on Indie Hackers has a Social Posting service then maybe we should talk!
