How did you all get your first few customers?

Hey all,

Currently I have one customer for my SaaS app called siterack.io but I haven't yet figured out a real marketing strategy. So i wanted to know from the folks who've already done it.... How did you get your first few customers?

    I understood what your product does, but what wasn't obvious and is, I think, is key with your product is that you are targeting WordPress sites. This wasn't obvious as I looked through your site - it left me wondering how you are going to back-up my website.

    The other point I'd note is that you lead with uptime monitoring. In my mind this is a commodity service and probably less valuable to potential customers than the automated back-up/one-click restore and safe update functions. A caveat though - I'm not in your target market, so a WordPress person might have a different view.

    I don't understand your product, so that's one thing.

    Another is, determine your marketing funnel, where are potential customers dropping out. Do they never get to your site, do they get there but not signup, do they signup but not buy?

      Super useful, thank you for being honest about not understanding the product. I had recently revamped the landing page to specifically target Digital Agencies, but i'm beginning to realize that the product is not fully explained.
