Wow, I didn't realize how techy the population of this site was. I'll give the experience of my business partner (who is non-techy, I'm techy). We both joined a paid network called All Access Pass---this was a ~3 month project by one of the hosts of My First Million that he has since spun down. Through chatting in there, we decided to buy a business together.
Are you looking for a technical cofounder, or to pay an engineer for work?
I suggest you have a look at Upwork if you can't code yourself, and maybe pay for a month so you can filter and access only top-rated developers' profiles. I found out that the best profiles are usually hidden or quite hard to find. Good luck
I ended up teaching myself to code, but had also quit my job so was doing this full-time which gave me the time and space to struggle and make progress (I don't think this would have been doable for me on a nights/weekends basis). I think you'll be surprised at how quickly you can get to a working prototype (though an actual MVP will take longer).
In my case I had a working prototype of my Android app's core functionality in 2 weeks, but I also had found an open source sample app that did some of what I needed and was modifying. YMMV!
Hey @shivamv, send me an email here ([email protected]) if you're looking for a technical co-founder. I'm not actively looking for myself but I know a few people smart developers that are looking for some fun opportunities. I can also help give some pointers if interested.

Yeah , this result is been surprising for me as well.
I'm just starting my indie journey and was trying to get a perspective on what it takes for most of fellow indie hackers to roll out the MVP.

Thank you so much, this seems to be a practical approach
Now that I have an idea for an app and am trying to make it happen, now I wish I was a developer. :(

Your determination is appreciated
How long did it take you to roll out the working prototype ?
