How did you validate the idea of your current product?

Hey Founders and Makers, did you validate the idea before you started building it?

How did you do it?
How did you know to start building?

Can you share it?

There are 100s of website builders. Everyday someone googles how to build a website.

If you have a unique idea (solve your own problem, and other have it), you don't need much validation.

I did that for https://versoly.com/ and we take customers from WordPress and Webflow (210m raised from VC)

The biggest problem i see in IH space is building something they wish existed but they haven't even looked if someone built it before and why they failed.

      Hi again, Volkan!

Totally agreed! Thanks for this comment.

Yeah, there are 100s of website builders in the world. And people google how to build a website. And it means the demand.

But why do existing solutions not fully satisfy this demand?
Why are there so many website builders?
What do you think about that?

And what own problem do you solve with your perfect versoly.com?

People building websites differ a lot.
There are niches one can focus on and get a lot of customers

We give developers access to code while making it easy to design nice looking sites, we're the most flexible builder on the market by far and our pages load the fastest.

There is a huge niche that care about that.

I knew I stumbled upon something special when I built https://trideate.com. I did one post and 30 people signed up. I cycled through MANY ideas, landing pages, and MVPs before landing on this one. Keep in mind, just get SOMETHING out there. It doesn't have to be the prettiest.
    P. S. Just went through a redesign I am so excited to share.

I am just building for myself, solving my problems. Fortunately part of the problems is common for all people working in website optimization :-) So I share what I do, kind of pleasure and business in one ;-)

    Cheers,
    Andrzej
