How do you celebrate your wins?

Personally, I find it hard.

And I think during COVID it’s even harder as you can’t go out and do much of anything other than a walk in the park.

So, how do you celebrate your wins?

See, I don’t, and I’d love to learn how to get that new client/user buzz and excitement. I’d love to be able to celebrate a good day, just for a couple of hours, rather than consistently fighting for the next client/user.

An example; I launched BubbleLeads.com yesterday, had 2 signups and 52 sample requests. I know inside that’s a pretty successful day but, did I take a step back to pat myself on my back? Nope.

Taking a step back to see what you’ve achieved is important whether it’s your 1st customer or your 100th.

So, let’s help each other understand how to celebrate a win.

Obviously, this will be different for everyone but, I’m sure there will be some good ideas.

Hey Rhys - congrats man! Bubble Leads looks absolutely awesome. Great design and a super valuable product. I can see this really working.

As for celebration, this is a funny one. I had a thought the other day that being a solo creator is a pretty lonely gig. There's not many people to talk to. I also tend to see only what is wrong with my product or what is needed to do. Haha. As for celebration, I...

    • tell my wife as she understands why I do these things
    • post here on IH as the community gets what it takes for sure
    • I have a few friends around the world that always come back with some positive reinforcement when I need it
    • I go for a bike ride and meditate on what Ive learnt in the sprint I have completed - I really try to put it into words vs. honing an instinct

I try and make it a daily habit to record 'what well' in my journal, some will call this a gratitude log and record at least 3 things that you are grateful but it is important to focus on the small achievements as well as the large. This is a very important step in maintaining balance.
