How do you manage job search?

I'm currently heading back to the "jobs" market, but having applied many times now from different platforms, I'm really interested in this - how do you manage your job search? All platforms do it differently, but none of them, with the exception of maybe StackOverflow Jobs actually keeps the track of your applications.

Basically, it seems that this is solved for HR people seeking emploees, not the other way around. Maybe a good business idea?
