How do you motivate yourself to do the job?

Perhaps you've heard of self-development, self-care, and in general... motivation to do the job you've to do. Sounds pretty simple, right?

But, it isn't that simple as it should be.

A quick story from my experience I would like to share with you to give you a better picture of the thing we could discuss here. A few years ago, when I was younger, I worked on a bunch of stuff at the same time. I could do a thousand tasks and be super flexible with work, people, and life management. I was working on the company projects and my personal ones. I was extremely excited about the things I was doing, there wasn't a single day that I did only one specific job. I was exploring new knowledge to expand my skills in various topics.

After a few years, I noticed a HIGH decrease in the experiments & explorations. I focused only on company projects, personal ones were far away in the dark shadows. And two days ago, I said to myself that I have to do some kind of the "work log" documentation, where I will write all details I'm working on during each day. Probably you asked yourself — why? And the answer is as follows, I want to try this experiment and see if I will be motivated as I was before, or maybe it will highly increase to the more significant motivation? Who knows? No one at the moment, and this is the pure beauty of it. You have to make it to check if it makes any sense or no. After two days, I feel way more energized, and I feel like "I'm back to the game" with my personal projects to keep the creativity going!

So, the question is, how do you handle your progress, tasks, work management, and self-development? I would really love to hear your stories. 👀
