How do you set yourself sales targets?

Our products should make money. Or at least not lose it.

How do you set yourself sales targets to make sure you're getting in the right direction?

For a start I set targets related to things I can do. Send X emails. Call Y people. Every week I review the results and get a feel of what's the average response rate, and try to go for more.

I set smaller goals of things in my control. Outreach, Blogs to write, Communities to spend time in, calls to book, testing new traffic channels.

For example I wanted to go from 60 to 100 potential customers in my pipeline within a month, created lead magnets, and workshops to attract them.

How are you setting goals for outreach and community, then? This is also something I'm having trouble quantifying.

I say I'm going to email 10 people directly. I find out their linkedin, or connect with them in someway or find their public email.

For community, I spend 10 to 15 minutes replying to things I see I can reply to and help immediately with. Sometimes you don't have to be comprehensive but just fast and be present.
