How do you test pricing/premium? By having options and driving traffic to your site?

I'm beginning to put together a premium/paid plan for my web app.

Just wondering how pricing is tested.

Do you just set up some payment processing with premium options, get traffic to your site, and then see if anyone pays?

And to experiment, you just change up the pricing/plans and see what works?

Hey Albert. I'm also about to launch a premium version of my app (markfolder.com) and have been researching pricing a lot.

The main lesson from all that research is that we will rarely get pricing right, so just pick one pricing model and ship it. Then learn and iterate until you find a price that's right for you and your users.

Here are the notes I made and links to the articles I've read, if it's any help: https://www.notion.so/farezrahman/Notes-from-pricing-research-dc0ac9580dfc431cb18d30611087ae10

Cool thanks. Yeah i guess its simple, put it up there and see if anyone pays.
