The members of this forum are incredible. I have only been on here a short time, but I am amazed at how helpful everyone is. From the bottom of my heart, thanks for your support.
I am still in the process of building out an artificial intelligence platform to help small businesses find customers using social media (details at https://www.whiteowlai.com ) , but I could use some help.
If you own a small business (or if you are thinking of starting a small business), I would be very interested to hear how you use social media. In particular, do you find that you are spending a lot of time on social media to find people who might like your product? Also, what type of social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube) are you using to find these customers?
Needless to say, any feedback that any of you can offer would be appreciated.
Best wishes,
Ralph Brooks

Thanks for the kind words. True. This community is indeed warm & welcoming.
Twitter is the go-to tool mostly for networking. Recently a hack was shared here to find target customers on LinkedIn. e.g. if you need to search for dentists in US, google search site:linkedin.com/ "dentist" "US" owner
I think most founders look to Twitter, but I've found Facebook groups to be good for engagement as well.
For LinkedIn and Twitter you should be able to find some groups about ML/AI that you can post into.
Other social medias are more recreational and may not fit your product as well.
I think for a highly technical topic such as ML/AI you would be well served writing authoritative tutorials or whitepapers and publishing them on dev.to or medium. This can build traffic for you while also positioning you as an expert in your field.
I also struggle using social media because my product (http://alertr.io) doesn't lend itself to and particular subset of people.
