How I got on page 4 of Google in less than a week

Hi everyone,

I got to page 4 of Google in less than 1 week with a brand new site. This is how.

Quick background: I build, rank, and sell websites to small businesses. So basically, I spin up a site for that looks like a local service business, say roofing example. I then rank that site using SEO on-page and off-page tactics. I then either sell the site completely to an actual service company in that area, or I simply sell the leads to them at an agreed upon rate.

So the quick steps:

1. Created a website with BlueHost and WordPress
2. Did on-page SEO articles that I wanted to rank for (the obvious ones - aka if I was creating a lead gen site for roofing business in Ann Arbor Michigan, I would obviously want to rank for "roofing service ann arbor".
3. Keyword research other terms/phrases similar to that and write articles SEO optimized for each of those terms (I chose 10 - yes, that's a lot of writing).
4. Backlinking - used backlinking hacks to create 5 backlinks to my site from trusted sites, that Google loves.
5. Got my site indexed by Google, created a sitemap and optimized my robots.txt file.

After that, in only 6 days my site was on page 4 when searching "service name service city". (Don't want to give away my city and niche, sorry). Hopefully, with more content, and more backlinks I will be on page 1 of Google within 3 months, and will keep you posted.
