How I have a dilemma between creating and researching

People with a creator mindset and dev skills often fail because they make beautiful product for the problem no one whats to solve, not even themselves.

I have read many recent posts on failure and the 1 reason all fail is because hackers want to have shiny, beautiful, fast, modern applications.

I'm a victim too. I have made apps just to make them look better, not essentially solve the problem better.

Many current systems are bad but they solve the problem to some extent that's the reason people are using it. Simply adding a app and tech wouldn't help anybody.

In order to, solve something you need to understand the current system in-depth. If you're trying to solve the problem of job application. The right approach is to learn everything in the pipeline, Job postings, people who that - HRs, end customers - engineering managers.

But the maker mind keeps shouting to build something when you ** just learn** or talk to random people for unknown problem, because we're maker and we should be making, why you just talking.

Here's a framework, suited for maker, hackers, .. the doers of society.

Framework

Publish on Gumroad with Pay as much as u Like with Default $0 - PGPLD

  • Building a planned sequence of products leading to the 1 product

  • Start by building a notion doc (2021 spreadsheet 😄) of people and problems and PGPLD

  • Collect all the tools people use to solve that problem create a free landing page & PGPLD

  • Reviews the tools and post it on your blog, twitter, IH. One more PGPLD if you can.

  • Then start building your dream product when you think all the above people you know can still benefit from your tool, which other tools can't solve.

  • Do all the above in public for finding more people in the problem circle - audience

The benefits of the above process is you keep -
✅ building something which is useful to people,
✅ same time you collect emails & audience with each PGPLD,
✅ you understand the problem in-depth
✅ may make some $
✅ And the best you're making something all the time.

I have made a similar website for free few months back, which follows PGPLD, Valuedensity, feel free to dm me any questions on how I built it.

My current project is Aurelio

How to build startups for $0 ?

Hope it helped 🙏
