How I made $350 in pre-sales with no product, no audience, and no marketing budget. AMA!

I'm Victor, the founder of Garage Studio. A newsletter (+ 1 platform) that helps makers to quickly and easily build side projects with validated business opportunities.

Here are the steps that led me to earn 350€ with no product, no paid ads, and no audience

🤧1- Have a problem I identify the opportunities, build the marketing strategy, acquisition strategy... Then I drop it because I have another idea...

So I have dozens of ideas that I rarely or never use. So I decided to share them.

💡2 - Test the idea Reddit is the best way to test your idea. There are many sub Reddit that allows you to get quick and honest feedback.

💰3 - Create a sales page Gumroad is the best tool to create a page, accept pre-sales and collect payments

🧱4 - Build in public I use Twitter to build in public. I have a small but quality community. No need to have a big audience. I only had 400 followers when I launched my pre-sales

The advantage is that you will get feedbacks quickly and potential customers.

🚀5 - Distribution Distribution is the key point. To distribute my product, I managed to make mini hacks.

I had a Reddit post where I shared high-value content (an iconography to find an idea) that allowed me to collect 80 emails with tally.

I also created a free lead magnet with a base of the best tweets to learn in different fields.

I then redirected those people to my Gumroad page.

Thanks to these techniques I was able to get 18 customers and pre-orders for a value of $350.

My best tool

To search for niches on Reddit, I use this tool which is great.

    Awesome, clap clap!

I have the same problem #1 as you. But I promised myself not to jump to another one, at least until I release my current project.
