How important is community building pre-product launch?

Hello everyone, I hope you're doing great. I'm an iOS developer. I worked on multiple (failing) projects in the past (social media app, carpooling, events management, etc...) and I must say it's one hell of a ride to get users on board. I feel that I'm a bit impatient when it comes to acquiring users and get discouraged quite fast. I decided to start from square one and build a community through either podcasting or blogging.

Have you ever been in my shoes? how did you deal with it? and do you think I really need to build that community pre-launch or I'm trying to solve for the wrong problem?

Thank you

Well, I'm not an expert, but yeah building a community always helps and takes time! :)
You could also post your project on different places, if people like your product, maybe they'll engage with you!
