How IndieHackers used to be different?

Hello fellow hackers, I'm new here and I'm curious how the community was different 2 years ago?

Was it better or worse?
What do you guys miss the most?

Thank you

Let's see, two years ago was February 2018, about 9 months after we joined Stripe. We had just moved the forum to the homepage, but it was significantly less active than it is today. I'd also just created the products directory, so it was fairly empty. There was no milestones leaderboard, nor was there a feature for meetups, nor were there any groups, and we still had our old article system open to the public, which resulted in a ton of spam. There wasn't a good onboarding process either, and @rosiesherry hadn't joined, so the forum was an unmoderated mess.

So imo, IH is much better than it was back then in almost every way! Although as the person behind most of these changes, I'm a bit biased. 😇

Didn't know there was such a detailed diary. I guess you learn something new every day.
      Thank you for sharing
