Just launched a gig economy tech marketplace: freelancers skills are directly verified to be admitted and a no-bidding process is used (pre-determined prices) - what's your first feeling? Makes sense? Scalable? Market dimensions? Suggestions welcome!
Looks great!
If you ever need tips for your freelancers I'm building a platform for that ;)

It's a great idea but right now, it's a little all over the place in terms of icon/graphical coherence and things like the message "apply for a refund if they are not ok". No idea what that's even telling me. If the service or the service provider is not ok?
It could be like the Fatllama of consultancy I guess. Good luck!
worked on graphics and text coherence... how's it now? thanks!
Thanks for the general positive feedback, I'll fix UI asap!
"Fatllama of consultancy"... I like that!
On your sign up page, I think you should make 'other areas of experise' optional.
Perhaps also the CV, since many people rely on experience publicly displayed on sites like linkedin rather than the CV method.
Application page completely redesigned, I hope for the better... what's your feedback? Thanks!
Nice catch, I'm moving the whole signup page from Airtable to custom design so I can incorporate your point for sure!
Thank you
Why no bidding? My main gripe with upwork is the commission they take from the employer and Freelancer, what is that going to be like?
No bidding because it is easier and faster to solve the client's need (no waiting time, no hassle): prices are defined upfront, from a list or a custom quote
A 10% fee is applied on the Freelancer side--> for a 200$ gig, 180$ are transferred to the vendor account
As someone who works as a freelancer, mostly through upwork, I don't think 10% is fair for acting much like a craigslist. Neither do employers. And we actively move off of upwork after connecting to conduct our business.
As far as the waiting time, not sure for other types of work, but mine never start immediately, some projects don't start for a month after connecting, so the time that the bidding process takes isn't really a problem. It's more like finding some work and then continuing to find work in preparation for the current work will end, just like when I worked for a consulting company. And the area I do work in I am an expert and there are plenty who are not, so I charge more. With your model I would probably struggle to get work, it would all go to India where they could work for half of what I get paid.
Don't see an URL.
oooops, added, thank you!
