How to build a SaaS from scratch in weeks

I have been building side projects for a while now, and I've found that each time a huge amount of effort goes into building the MVP only to see it fail (not always 😁).

Each time I found myself repeating the same steps of authentication, subscriptions, deployment, which is pretty time-consuming.

Through some discussions on Reddit and Indie Hackers, this has been the case for a number of developers, hence I decided to build out Rocket. I now use Rocket for building all my new projects, and I found a number of users were able to develop their entire MVP within weeks.

Here is what I do for building out an MVP in weeks:

  • Write down the idea as clearly and descriptive as possible
  • Validate the idea through discussions
  • Use authentication, user management, subscriptions and UI components all packaged in Rocket
  • Add a few UI pages and the server functionality for the SaaS (this takes the bulk of time, but adding UI using basic components and API routes and controllers with auth, validation built-in becomes super easy)
  • Invite beta users! 🥳🥳

This community has been very supportive and helpful for all suggestions for Rocket, and I'd love if this can help more of us to turn ideas into products as quickly as possible. 💪
