How to choose a no-code platform?

I am trying to examine various no-code platforms for a startup I am helping.

There are a few requirements for the startup. They are planning a workflow-based SaaS service (& in future extendible to device native interfaces) built on messaging services. The SaaS service should have native webhook capability or support other API based access, so external integrations become easier.

One way to imagine this is a Fiverr (for that matter JIRA or lively) workflow linked to a presence and online messaging system. Do no-code platforms support deep integration with messaging systems (like matrix or socket.io)? How does one go about examining such requirements?

I’m also on the Bubble.io camp and would recommend it.

The integration with Socket.io seems to be just some code that you paste on the <body> of the desired page? I believe you should be able to do that in Bubble.

For other type of integrations, you can certainly use REST APIs with Bubble.

On the platform lock-in, it is certainly worth examining if this could be an issue. I believe the benefits far outweigh the downsides.

I think bubble would be your best bet here. Seems like your requirements are pretty complex, bubble allows that flexibility and offers the advanced features you're seeking.

    Try out www.bubble.io

Can do all you listed :)

Unfortunalty, I cannot answer your question but when I was looking into no-code options, what struck me was the buisness model of the no-code platforms & I had issues with it. So maybe this is helpful. Bassically, they offer lots of benifits but want to keep you locked into the platform. So you never get access to the source code and it's a huge pain to migrate off the platform. So if you're successful, you will grow and when you grow, the service will inhabit you and then you're going to have a serious pain getting off it. Maybe this doesn't matter and it's a neccessary evil but for me, I dunno, I didn't like this. From my research, Wrappler seemed like the only one that actually allowed you access to yoru source code, to me, that seemed like a massive benifit.

    Hi,

Have you tried checking WordPress? Google has returned several potential plugins that might address your problem https://www.google.com/search?q=wordpress+workflow&oq=wordpress+workflow.
