It's always a good idea to offer a free trial or free plan to get users into the door to test your product. Eventually some of those users will convert into paying customers.
While this strategy usually works, there's a simple "trick" you can leverage to convert even more users into paying customers when their trial expires.
The main idea is to switch from a free trial to a paid one. I myself stumbled upon this practice the other day and digged deeper into why that works and how you can do the same.
