How to distribute a free ebook?

Hello,
I wrote a ebook that I would like to share.
It will be free, but I would like to allow people to donate.
What sites do you recommend for this?

Gumrod is a good first choice. You can create a product and set a minimum price, which lets the users optionally pay more. If you set a price of 0+ the users can download for free or change the price to something more.

      Thanks for the suggestion.
I did not know this service.
What worries me a bit is that I have seen a lot of negative reviews about this site.

What do the negative reviews specifically criticize? Gumroad is a major and well known platform founded by a respected entrepreneur and used by many creators and indie hackers.

I found these reviews here (in French*):

The negative comments surprised me, but that won't stop me from having my own experience. I agree with you on the reputation of the site.

*) In this regard, please excuse me if my answers contain errors, English is not my native language.

I see, thanks. That user complains about some recent changes to PayPal payments PayPal imposed on Gumroad. Gumroad had no choice.
