How to encourage work at home team members emotionally connect?

Working together in a team involving members from different continents and thus time zones can be challenging. Have you every felt craving for physical proximity in such settings? Watching notifications all day long to check if members are available or not can be exhausting. What are your strategies to overcome such obstacles to productivity?

We make sure the team would spend some time for fun not just work. Usually 1 hour a week just to chat or play some games to improve our team bonding. @looking4light

You can find tools for remote team building and virtual games on Virtual Mojito. Let me know what you think :)

Keen to exchange opinions on remote working as well. I'm on Twitter here.

Take a look at gitlab workbook? they do standups about what I did outside of work yesterday. Make work updates async...

There is a donut app on slack that matches people to have a coffee chat... like schedule non work time with people..

Hope there is something for Discord too. But this is still online... too. I feel a bit sad working with people I don't really get to know.
