How to name my new side project?

Hey all,

I'm working on a new side project and I am not sure what name to use.

I am doubting between two names. One I like because it is translated from Dutch (betaal = pay), but the other describes what it is, but may be too limited (no code). But for the former, the .com is already taken. Which would you choose?

The names are: Betaal[.co] vs nocodepay[.com]

🤷

    I like nocodepay better.

    However, from the peanut gallery:
Betaal kind of looks like the English work "beetle" > Beetle Juice > how about JuicePay, JuicyPay, or just Juice? I haven't looked up domain name availability.

.com is preferred if it's available

    Hey Dennis,

First - I wouldn't bother too much with the name to be honest. The real value is in what your project can provide to the user and not in the name. I feel like the product builds the name not vice versa. (Stripe, Facebook, Google - means nothing without the value it provide)

But to answer your question - I think I would go with nocodepay.com - if your target is not just the dutch market. It's pretty descriptive and easy to remember and it might also help you with SEO.

Thanks 😊 would you also recommend the .com over the .co?

If you can get .com - choose .com if not .co is fine also
