How to overcome procrastination?

I know you are trying to complete tasks by end of the day but somehow you feel irritated for not finishing before the deadline.

Sometimes, spending more time on coffee breaks, time spent on other tasks, and re-reading emails are the reasons behind losing focus on your daily tasks that lead to procrastination.

Procrastination is the trap that many of us fall into.

Procrastination is often confused with laziness, they both are different.

Procrastination is an active process but you choose a different task instead of the task that you have to do on that day.

This will give us serious consequences like feeling ashamed or guilty for not finishing that task on time.

Surprisingly, perfectionists are often procrastinators. They often avoid doing a task that they don't feel they have the skills to do.

So, how to overcome procrastination?

Forgive yourself for procrastinating in the past.

Make a To-Do list - the most important tasks to finish in a day and create effective schedules.

Promise yourself a reward. If you complete a difficult task on time.

Ask someone to follow-up on your tasks / keep a reminder to check where you are on the To-Do list.

Turn off your email and social media and avoid sitting near the television.

Become a master of scheduling and project planning.
